It is recommended to use VCU in the names of the Health Sciences college and schools or student-related materials. Do VCU Health for:
- Any educational materials that promote clinical or patient care
- Community health outreach initiatives (e.g., mobile clinics, screenings, health fairs)
Email signatures

If the employer is clearly defined, your signature should match what’s on your VCU Health business card. Please refrain from using ANY other graphic icons in your email signature, especially marks copyrighted by the VCU Athletic Association. See our guidelines in the Using the brand section.
Employment and recruitment
- Do use VCU Health on employment and recruitment materials that are strictly promotional in nature.
- Use the hiring employer’s name for recruitment and employment efforts — VCU Health System Authority, VCU Health MCV Physicians or Virginia Commonwealth University. The Authority is the employer of Ambulatory Surgery Center, Children's Services at Brook Road, Community Memorial Hospital, Tappahannock Hospital, and VCU Medical Center. VCU Health MCV Physicians is a separate employer.
- Identify VCU Health MCV Physicians or VCU Health CMH Physicians in physician recruitment materials.
Land ownership

- Do use VCU Health System Authority when referring to ownership of a building (i.e., VCU Medical Center provides clinical services at Stony Point 9000, but the Authority owns the building)

- Clinical research presentations (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, posters, etc.)
Signage
- The VCU Health brand signature is used as the “brand beacon.”
- Level 3 major entity logos should be used to identify the appropriate provider-based facility or physician office on select building exteriors, interior spaces and wayfinding signs at pedestrian and eye level.
- Third-tier marks and other descriptors are used only at pedestrian or eye level as determined by the building specifications outlined in the VCU Health brand architecture.
